Badlands Loop Scenic Byway
Native American Scenic Byway
68 mile drive on a spiraling road through six rock tunnels and across several "pig tail" bridges. Features views of spectacular granite pinnacles and pine forested mountain peaks. Sites along the way include Mount Rushmore, Harney Peak, Sylvan Lake, and the Needles Eye and Cathedral Spires rock formations. 20 mile scenic drive through narrow Spearfish Canyon that takes about 40 minutes to complete. Features steep canyon walls, forests, meadows, streams, and waterfalls.
