United States Almond Festivals

Information about almond festivals in the United States. California is the only U.S. state growing almonds commercially. As of of 2014, it was producing more then 80% of the world's almond crop and about 70% of that crop was sold outside the United States. Most of California's almaonds are grown in regions stretching 400 miles from Northern Tehama County to Southern Kern County. California Almond Festivals

Capay Valley Almond Festival
Five-town almond festival first held in 1915 that showcases the Esparto-Capay Valley region of Northern California. The Esparto County Regional Chamber of Conmmerce provides visitors with an Almond Trail Map so visitors van take a scenic self-drive tour that includes the towns of Brooks, Capay, Eskparto, Guinda, and Rumsey. Other vents and activities include family festivals and other special events in all of those towns.

Former California Almond Festivals

Oakley Almond Festival
Multiple day festival held in Oakley's O'Hara Park. Events and activities include a cooking contest, classic car show, diaper derby, and boat and other activities on the waterways of Oakley. THIS ANNUAL END-OF-SUMMER FUND RAISING EVENT FOR THE OAKLEY CHAMBER OF COMMERCE WAS CANCELLED IN 2012 BECAUSE OF A DROP IN ATTENDANCE.
