Dimond Skateland
This rink in the city of Anchorage is still owned by
its original owners Ed and Carolyn Caldwell.
In the 1970's and 1980's they also owned the former
Anchorage Roller Rink. The giant skate outside
the Dimond rink was formerly on the roof of
the anchorage Roller Rink.
Both Ed and Carolyn have taught dance,

Royal Roller Rink
Opened in 1971 by Albert Waddell and his son in law, Tim Hughes.
When Waddall retired in the mid 1970's he sold the Royal Roller Rink
to his daughter Janice, who was married to Tim.
Offers public sessions Friday through Monday and Christian music
on Thursday nights.
Located at 6411 Debar Road in East Anchorage.

Anchorage Roller Rink
Opened in 1963 by Albert Waddell and his son in law Tim Hughes.
When Waddell retired in the mid 1970's he sold
the Anchorage Roller Rink to his daughter Carolyn and
her husband Ed Caldwell. The Caldwell's opened a
second rink, Dimond Skateland. When they closed
the Anchorage Roller Rink in the mid-1980's they
kept Dimond Skateland opened.
