About Punta Cana
Information for visitors to the Punta Cana beach resort area
on the east coast of the Dominican Republic and the far
eastern tip of Hispaniola Island. Punta Cana is the most
developed and most visited tourism destination in the
Dominican Republic and it has the most hotels and resorts
outside of the national capital city of Santo Domingo de Guzman.
It is most well-known for having one of the highest
concentration of all-inclusive resorts in the world. Those
resorts offer one price that includes lodging, meals, and
many activities and they are available in al price ranges,
from very inexpensive to ultra-luxurious. Punta Cana also
has more golf courses than any other region of the Dominican
Republic and it is the home o9f the busiest airport in the
country, the Punta Cana International Airport (PUJ).
